The other day I had the pleasure of being treated and pampered by my friend and Mary Kay Director, Christy Hawkins Dunn.
I was part of a small group of ladies who were treated and introduced to the new Spring colors by Mary Kay. Being the middle of the day, we did not do full facials but treated the back of our hands instead. It made it easy and convenient to experience the luxurious TimeWise Repair™ skincare collection by Mary Kay.
Everyone was able to network with one another too. During our session we were able to talk about our own businesses and interesting things going on in our lives. I met a real estate agent, a Huntsville Chamber employee, and a lovely women who is recently retired and is now able to enjoy time with her mother.
So what is hot for Spring? Teals, pinks, and peaches caught my attention.
I love creamy eye shadows. Using an eye shadow eye primer helps it to say on and not crease. I purchased a couple of these beauties.
Break out of your ordinary color routine and try something new. Recently, I’ve been playing around with different eye looks and colors. Yes, I have greenish eyes and, yes, I do have lots of plums and purples in my eye shadow palette. But I wanted to try some new things and so I have been adding a teal color to my routine. It nearly matches my eye color. Who says you can’t wear the same color in eye shadow as your eye color?
We also learned more about the Mary Kay business and Christy’s personal story of how she got started as a consultant more than 8 years ago. Another friend of mine was there, who is a consultant and will be driving her first free Mary Kay car by June 2015, Felecia McInnish. I am so happy and proud of her. I love these ladies and enjoy being with them. They are both so uplifting and positive. And by the way, Felecia has guest blogged for me before and would love for her to do more.
