Her exhibit of “Exposures and Reflections” is in Decatur. It will be there until September 2nd and I must go see it.
It is the first traveling exhibit by the Museum of Mobile. It is a collection of photographs “taken during and after Welty’s time as a junior publicist for the Works Parks Administration. Artful and truthful, the photographs create a record of the Great Depression South from the eye of one of its own.”
There are a couple of special events associated with this exhibit. A Lunch & Learn on August 5th and a Dramatic Reading on July 21st. I don’t know, yet, if I can make either of those but I will definitely get myself over to the exhibit itself at some point in time.
