Guilty Pleasures & Closet Fashion Junkie

December, Vogue, Fashion, Blog

I used to blog about fashion, trends, styles. My blog was called The Editorialist. I loved it. I don’t know why I quit. I think it was one of those things where I let my self talk take over with, “Who do you think your are, doing a fashion blog!” I had no experience, no formal education, no training in the world of fashion and so eventually I just let the blog die. But I did love it. I still love fashion.

The other day, I stopped by Barnes & Noble and I picked up December’s issue of Vogue. That’s all it took to bring back that addiction. For a while now, I was able to control it and look at the cover of Vogue and then tell myself, “You don’t need that, it serves no purpose for you now.” But there I was, just the other day and without a second thought, I purchased the glossy. There was no inner voice this time telling me, “No!”

This evening while flipping through the pages, I have already come across several things I want to write/blog about. I am all excited, heart is beginning to race a little bit, my eyes are wide and flying across the pages, anticipation grows as I start to flip to the next page.

One of the first things I found is an advertisement about The Fashion Fund. It is a weekly series on a channel called Ovation. Season 2 premiered on November 5th. I have some catching up to do. What is The Fashion Fund? Brand new designers, the world of fashion, Anna Wintour, Diane von Furstenberg, judges, committees, runways, and more.

Anna Wintour explains how The Fashion Fund came about.

Here is the first season, episode one:

Listen, I know nothing about fashion. Not really. Except I know that I like it. I don’t wear designer clothes. My budget cannot afford big designers and all that goes with that sort of fashion. But I like to watch it, follow it, read about it, write and blog about it. I just like to be in that world in some manner.

I think that when I left my old job to go work in retail, the bug bit me again.

Anyway, thanks for listening to me ramble.

Thanks for reading and show me your moxie!
