Happy New Year, and welcome 2019. I warmly accept the New Year of 2019. I have to admit, I am happy to see 2018 leave us.
The other day, on Instagram, I found a post asking what my word would be for 2019. Normally, I would take this in stride, skim over it, and move on. This time, I decided to think about it and came up with my word for 2019.
Happy New Year, Welcome 2019
SLOW – it is quite the opposite of what my younger self would have chosen.
As in slow down.
As in slow down and enjoy life.
I am at an age, now, where I can slow down and don’t need to be in the front of the pack or keep trying to push my way to the top of the leader board anymore. I can slow down and enjoy my life.
I will be slower in my responses and replies – meaning I will take the time to think things through.
I will be slower in dealing with my customers, at work, slowing down to listen and take care, and work the process properly.
I will slow down with making commitments and promises.
I will slow down with social media, taking scheduled breaks and fasts from the hype.
I will take the time to slow down with my time. I will be more grateful for the time I have and try to use it more wisely.
I will slow down to read, meditate, pray.
I will slow down to appreciate what is around me.
I will slow down and participate in gratitude and opportunity.
There is more I plan to slow down with but this is a good start.
Just slow down.
