One of the writing prompts for #bloglikecrazy is titled “Shelf Pleasure” and I am to tell you what I am reading right now or to tell you some of my favorite books and/or authors.
Well, I have a confession to make. I haven’t read anything in a long time, months probably. I was reading on a regular basis but then life happens and I got distracted and stopped reading. So this prompt is not only for #bloglikecrazy but hopefully I can use it to launch my reading program again.
And so I purchased one of my favorite author’s books titled “Don’t Sing at the Table: Life Lessons from My Grandmothers,” by Adriana Trigiani. This is her first nonfiction book I believe. I love all of her fiction books and I found out recently they are currently making a movie of one of them; Big Stone Gap starring Ashley Judd. I can’t wait for that to come out.
Anyway, so I am starting to read Don’t Sing at the Dinner Table. I hope to be able to review this book in a week or so.
In the meantime, here are some of my favorite authors:
- Adriana Trigiani
- Elizabeth Gilbert
- Elizabeth Berg
- Nora Ephron, Nora Ephron, Nora Ephron
- Dan Brown
- Woody Allen
- Kate Morton
I am always looking for new authors so if you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear from you.
I am already feeling that need to read. So a big thank you goes out to #bloglikecrazy for inspiring me again.
