Today’s topic for the Fall Themed NaBloPoMo is this:
Which sound is more satisfying for you: crunching leaves underfoot or bubble wrap popping?
Oh, definitely leaves crunching underfoot. That bubble wrap popping would drive me to the brink of insanity. Or I might end up taking the bubble wrap and bind tightly the offender’s body (with the bubble wrap) so they could no longer move.
Fall is my most favorite time of the year. I love to see all the leaves floating about and swishing, dancing all over the ground.
I remember when the kids were young, we would go gather some leaves – the big unbroken ones – bring them back to the house and trace them, color them, or press them. I was just thinking about this the other day when I was out walking our little dog; about how the kids and I would do that with leaves.
Now my kids are 16-years old (nearly 17) and 18-years old. They are too old for that kind of thing. It’s funny what memories will visit you unexpectedly. Some memories softly whisper to you while others can blast you with such a shock that you can barely move or breathe for a few minutes.
Anyway, that’s my take on leaves versus bubble wrap.
