My 5 Must-Haves for Summer

Oh y’all, it is getting ready to be the hot season in the south – summertime. The humidity will melt the mascara right off your lashes. I don’t particularly care for summertime in the south. It is so stinkin’ hot! And for the record, it is not my ideal place to live, it is not my choice but I do love The Gent. He’s here in the south, so I think I’ll stay.

So what are my “must-haves” for the summertime in Alabama? Well, some of them are summer must-haves and some are recent-finds. Now that I think about it, I will probably make this a weekly or monthly thing. But for now I’ll just keep it as my summer must-haves or recent finds.

Burt's Bees Hand Salve
Burt’s Bees Hand Salve – great for your feet (heels). It is summertime after all. Get your feet ready for flip flops, sandals, mules, and slingbacks! This product has also been a significant part of my fingertips healing up. My finger tips have been so dry with eczema and this product has been a “salve”-ation.
Lucky Brand
Speaking of flip flips…. I recently purchased these cute little things. I am NOT a fan of flip flips, at all. I especially hate the Yellow Boxes. I know! EEEEK! But there it is, all out in the open now. I bought these flip flops out of desperation, at first, because I had to get out of my high heels at work on that particular day. These Lucky Brand flops were on sale. But I have to say I LOVE THEM!!!
Johnson's Baby Powder
Does this product really need any explanation? Hello! It is a staple for me in the summertime. I don’t know what I would do without baby powder to help absorb all that extra humidity, and well, sweat. Most every morning, it looks like a cloud landed in our bathroom because of all the baby powder being tossed about all over the body.
butterLondon Nail Polish
One of my most recent purchases! I am loving this nail polish – butterLondon™. I just gave myself another manicure and put on the second color – Mum’s The Word. I love both of these colors and trust me when is I say that finding that perfect nail color, for me, is tough. I am so picky when it comes to nail polish color.
Candace Bushnell, One Fifth Avenue
I couldn’t do a Summer Must-Have without including a book. Candace Bushnell’s One Fifth Avenue. A guilty pleasure for me. I can’t wait to start in on this one.

So that’s it for now. My most recent finds and summer must-haves. How about you? What are you diggin’ this summer?

Thanks for reading and show me your moxie!
