Mob Wife Fashion Is In
I have a confession to make. When I was younger, before I was married the first time and way before I had children, way back in my early 20s, I had a secret desire to be a mob wife. I know. Why, where, or how I got this silly notion is beyond me. For the life of me, I have no idea why I thought it was so glamorous back then in the late 1980s.
Of course, since then, I’ve seen all of The Godfather movies, Good Fellas, The Irishman, Casino, and the like. But doing a quick Google search for mob movies, I see I have a slew of them to catch up on. I love mob movies. Again, I have no idea why I am fascinated with this subject.
So, I am happy to see this whole “mob wife” trend taking over fashion for 2024. Apparently, on TikTok, it is all the rage. But I am not on TikTok. I can’t speak on that virality.
Big hair, loud jewelry, tight leopard prints, leather, and fur are back, baby!

I couldn’t be happier. Yes, I realize I am 57 years old. But that certainly won’t stop me from getting in on the fun. I’ve already got the long nails, jewelry, and big wigs. Of course, I can tone the clothes down but still pull off the mob wife look.

Oh, I’ve got the hoop earrings, and all I need to do is check out a local thrift shop to pull together the rest of my look.
Too bad spring is around the corner. I can’t do fur here in Alabama, fake or not. It is just too darn hot for furs. If this trend peters out by the winter of 2024, I’ll still look for fur to tote around because I could always wear mob wife fashion! I don’t care if it goes out of style by spring or summer. I can adapt. There is such a thing as mob wife fashion for spring and summer, too! All year round, baby!
But really, it’s not just the fashion that screams mob wife. It is totally the attitude.
Recently, I started following Sarah Jordan Arcuri on Instagram. She is the self-proclaimed CEO of all things mob wife fashion. And boy, does she ever deliver. Just check out her mob wife essentials on her Amazon page.
She also has written a book that sounds right up my aisle. I’ll be ordering it soon.
Anyway, I’ll have fun for the next few days perusing mob wife fashion on the internet to get inspiration or validation. Also, I’ll be watching some mob movies now.
