Peanut The Squirrel
Peanut The Squirrel, a beloved pet and super influencer, was euthanized by New York state. You can blame the selfish people who had nothing better to do than make someone else’s life miserable. What is wrong with people?
Peanut the Squirrel, of internet fame, has been euthanized after the pet was seized by New York state earlier this week, according to the Department of Environmental Conservation.
The seven-year-old gray rescue squirrel, commonly referred to as “P’Nut” on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, was put to death, along with Fred the raccoon, so that the animals could be tested for the presence of rabies, according to a statement from the agency obtained by WETM. – New York Post
Awful People
A group of people reported Peanut and Mark to animal services. They didn’t like that Longo was giving residence to a squirrel and a raccoon. They feared the animals would get or have rabbis, so they reported Mark Longo.

Rescued
Peanut the Squirrel was rescued by Mark Longo and inspired Longo’s animal sanctuary, P’nuts Freedom Farm.
Seven years ago, a tiny, fluffy baby squirrel entered our lives and changed everything. “Peanut the Squirrel” quickly captured hearts and became a household name. Despite being reintroduced to the wild, Peanut faced adversity, losing half of his tail in a severe attack. Without developing essential wildlife instincts, Peanut became an indoor, non-releasable squirrel. Remarkably, Peanut went on to become the first squirrel to amass over 1 million, and then 2 million, followers on TikTok, with a combined social media following of over 3 million.
Thanks to the overwhelming love and support from our dedicated followers, we established “P’nuts Freedom Farm.” This sanctuary is a haven where neglected and homeless animals receive a second chance at life. – P’nuts Freedom Farm
It is unbelievable what people will do because they think so poorly of themselves that they must hurt others with their bitter spitefulness. I hope the people who reported Mark Longo are ashamed of themselves for the hurt they have caused others.
Even though this was a tragedy, it looks as though the animal sanctuary will go on, thankfully.
Peanut The Squirrel’s Instagram account has over half a million followers. Here is one of the latest posts.

Where’s PETA when you need them?
Listen to Mark explain what happened when he made an appearance on Chris Cuomo’s show on News Nation after he got word that New York killed his squirrel and raccoon.
Good heavens! That is ridiculous. People, mind your own business. This man created an animal sanctuary where he has saved over 300 animals. Someone’s life had to be miserable to call this one in, probably a Kamala-voting liberal, more than likely.
This story is all over the internet and news. Even big-name media got fooled by a fake press release put out supposedly by Donald J. Trump. But quite frankly, with his Midas touch lately, I wouldn’t be surprised if he would step in with a say. Though, it wouldn’t bring back Peanut.
An anti-Donald Trump website fell for a statement from the former president that appeared to decry the death of internet-famous squirrel Peanut — only for those close to the Republican nominee to confirm that the fiery post was actually fake.
The liberal news site Mediaite published a since-deleted article Saturday based on the bizarre bogus press release that appeared to be from Trump’s campaign that was first posted on X by Gentry Genvers.

Big dummies.
It’s terrible what happened to Mark Longo. Shame on New York. Especially when they have more significant problems than a raccoon or squirrel. How about crime, gangs, and illegals running rampant in the bigger cities? Mark Longo may live four hours outside of New York City, but the state still spent resources to seize a little squirrel and then put it to death.
To the people who reported Mark Longo, no one will ever love you now. Stay away from animals because they know what kind of person you are.
When I first heard about Peanut, I discussed it on my podcast. This was before I discovered New York had put the animal down.
