ABC Settles Lawsuit with Donald Trump

ABC settled a lawsuit with Donald Trump and agreed to pay $15 million towards Donald’s presidential library. It should be more than that, but if Trump’s legal team is okay with it, so be it.

The settlement comes with an “apology” from ABC News as well:

In addition, ABC has to post a note on its website communicating contrition for George Stephanopoulos, saying that Donald Trump raped a woman.

According to settlement documents made public Saturday, ABC will also post a note on its website expressing regret over the claim in a March 10 segment on Stephanopoulos’ “This Week” program and pay $1 million in legal fees to Trump’s lawyer.

In January, he was found liable on additional defamation claims and ordered to pay Carroll $83.3 million. Trump is appealing both verdicts.

Neither verdict involved a finding of rape as defined under New York law.

The judge in both cases, Lewis Kaplan, has said that the jury’s conclusion was that Carroll had failed to prove that Trump raped her “within the narrow, technical meaning of a particular section of the New York Penal Law.” – AP News

Back when Donald Trump was president for the first time, this little nitwit decided to sue Trump for defamation because he said the rape didn’t happen. Here is the timeline from Reuters if you want to go back and refresh your memory.

Everybody and their mother were out to get Trump. All the lawfare that happened after this case was insane.

What Donald Trump was found “guilty” of was sexual assault and defamation of one E. Jean Carroll. A woman went on national television to tell everyone that Donald Trump assaulted her in a dressing room. You know, because they were “so hot for each other.” This lady is a loon.

Donald Trump is appealing various cases against him, and I believe this E. Jean Carroll case is one of them.

And maybe George Stephanopoulos won’t go running his little filthy mouth full of misinformation. Some newsman he is. And what a punk with his bullying of Nancy Mace, an actual rape victim. Shame on him.
