Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) could one day be the President of the United States. Don’t laugh; I am being very serious.
No, seriously. For real, this time, I mean it.
AOC is, right now, before Donald J. Trump is even sworn in, being touted around D.C. to be the Democrat’s most probable candidate to run for President in 2028. And why not?
Nowadays, people seem to vote for whoever is popular on social media—and extra points for AOC for being a hottie, too, men like that.
A former Trump Treasury official warned the Republican party Friday not to “underestimate” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), citing her accessibility to voters through social media and the congresswoman’s “grassroots support.”
“She was an early adopter of social media… so she’s connecting directly to voters,” Monica Crowley, a former public affairs official in the Treasury Department during the first Trump administration, told Lisa Boothe on Fox News’s “The Ingraham Angle” on Friday.
“However, just a word of warning to the Republicans, to my party: Do not underestimate AOC. She’s young, she’s vibrant, she’s attractive,” Crowley added. – The Hill
Yes, that’s right. Even people close to the Trump crowd, like Monica Crowley, are taking this threat seriously. And I can see why.
Some people laugh off AOC, and they say she’s an idiot.

And to the people who think AOC is an idiot and laughing this off, I say, Keep laughing, just like the left did when Trump was rumored to run the first time.
You know that Trump ran one hell of a social media and podcast game this go-round, right? Who in the heck do you think started this kind of interchange with the people in the first place?
Joe Biden and then Kamala Harris went way too far left, and maybe the Democrats see that now. So, look for them to start looking elsewhere and in unusual places for their next candidate. I think AOC fits perfectly, and if I were a Democrat, I certainly would be pushing for her to be the candidate.
Gavin Newsom, Big Gretch, and Josh Shapiro have also been talked about, and maybe one of them would win the Democratic primary, but I don’t know. I think the Democrats will take the next four years to stay hunkered down to rebrand their party and develop a new avenue for them to regain power. Gavin and Gretchen are the same ole, same ole. I am not that familiar with Josh Shapiro.
But AOC has what Donald Trump had when speaking and relating to the people.
However, if JD Vance emerges as our candidate for 2028, AOC might have a more challenging time. Come on!
The no-filter language of Donald Trump can also be heard from AOC. You know you can’t deny that. While we conservatives and Republicans may disagree with AOC’s views, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a following.
AOC has 8.1 million followers on Instagram and 12.8 million followers on X. She has a reach. I realize that there are well over 300 million people in America. Still, there is no denying that AOC has carved out a niche for herself on specific platforms and knows how to broadcast her scrappy messages.
People love scrappy, but scrappy alone won’t cut the mustard. She’ll need money. I’d be keeping an eye on her fundraising efforts for the next little while.
Also, check this out. AOC went to her Instagram account to ask her followers why they supported Trump and not Harris but still kept voting for AOC in the local elections.
Ocasio-Cortez, who was a strong backer of Harris and is one of the most progressive voices in the US House of Representatives, took to Instagram over the weekend to argue that “most people” weren’t ready for Trump to be in office again. She highlighted Trump’s pledge to initiate mass deportations and his tariff threats.
Then Ocasio-Cortez opened up the floor to Instagram users, asking for responses from people who backed her reelection in New York’s 14th Congressional District and Trump’s candidacy or who backed Trump and downballot Democrats in other states. – Yahoo
Oh, and the answers might surprise you. People were concerned about the economy and Gaza. Many of her followers are under the impression that Trump and AOC care about the same issues—the working class. And that, my friends, will catapult AOC to the front of the pack.
But not everyone on the left loves AOC. Some from the Clinton era say that AOC running for President would not be a great idea. Doug Schoen, an advisor from the Democratic glory days, says their party should return to the center. We all know that AOC is anything but center thinking.
So, who knows what’s going to happen. Is it too soon to tell? It seems the time of politics moves swiftly, so maybe it’s not too crazy to already talk about 2028. All I know is that we now have four splendid and glorious years before us, and my confidence in the people has been restored.
