Tough Mudder 2019 Complete

Estimated read time 2 min read

A few weeks ago I blogged about my apprehension for signing up for a Tough Mudder, Nashville 2019. Well, let me tell you what…I surprised myself. I definitely found out what I was made of, for sure, and it IS tough stuff. Not bad for an old broad.

Tough Mudder 2019 Complete

I completed all obstacles but one and that is only because my partner didn’t want to try it. You needed a partner for Texas Hold ‘Em. I suppose I could have tried it with a stranger, didn’t even cross my mind until now. Duh.

Keep in mind, in the video above, the obstacle is nice and clean. When we went through it was on day 2 and after about 4,000 other Tough Mudders went through.

My partner was was my daughter. My sister and her husband went through first and my sister took a hard fall and I think that scared my daughter and I wasn’t about to make her do something she didn’t want to do. She is 24-years old anyway and no longer has to do what Mom tells her to do.

I am so glad I allowed my sister to talk me into this and I want to do another. If you want to find out what you are truly made of then sign up for a Tough Mudder. SO MUCH FUN.

Be prepared to have and get mud everywhere; ears, mouth, eyes, other places. Also, cuts and bruises. And sore muscles the next few days. I had a hand print bruise on the inside of my upper arm where my brother-in-law reached down to grab me on the Everest 2.0 obstacle and refused to let me go (thankfully).

The above video is NOT me, it is just to show you what the obstacle was, Everest 2.0.
