Give Us Dirty Laundry!

Give us dirty laundry, you remember the song, by Don Henley. It plays in my head these days when I watch the news. Mainstream media having a field day with Ukraine/Russia.

Does it seem that the rhetoric has multiplied by a thousand times? I keep saying that it can’t get worse and then the next day it does. And I mean the media getting high, borderline overdosing on the new world drug of news.

Kayleigh McEnany the other day on Outnumbered seemed a little too exuberant to share images of dead children on the show the other day. Sure, she mentioned beforehand that the images you are about to see are graphic but, here, look anyway at the blood soaked children who are injured. Oh and here too, a 9-year old child dead on the ground.

Not necessary Kayleigh.

Give Us Dirty Laundry!

Times like these I think of Don Henley’s song, Dirty Laundry. While Kayleigh is no bubble-head, she is definitely sharp and super smart, I don’t think she needs to sink to these lows to get her point across. I’m surprised Faulkner Harris let her get away with that garbage.

Kayleigh, Tucker, and even Don Jr. These three are good at the big talk and sometimes mislead with hook headlines. Eventually they will get to the point of the story but their grandiloquence is what does it in for me and loosing my trust in them.

I am gonna give Tucker some slack because I usually agree with his monologue once he gets going. But I implore him to stop with the ambiguous excerpts.

Don Jr is a different story. He’s not in media and while I like the guy he is over the top most of the time. Calm down dude. Deliver your argument with calm clarity please. Right now you sound like a used car salesman, an infomercial at best.

Only speaking for myself when I say I tend to believe people who stay composed while delivery bad news to me but they also have to provide the facts as well. I am a natural skeptic.

Since I am trying to sync my blog with my podcast, I did put out a new episode where I talk a little about our addiction to Dirty Laundry.

Thanks for reading.
