Is Mark Zuckerberg Okay?

Is Mark Zuckerberg Okay?

Forget that Zuck is now trying to look like a prepubescent boy channeling 1995 Justin Timberlake. I need to ask— is Mark Zuckerberg okay? Why? Have you heard him lately? He’s been blabbering on podcasts, hinting he’s now a Donald Trump fanboy.

Maybe he didn’t say it outright. But ever since that dinner at Mar-a-Lago and Trump’s election win, Mr. Zuck Bucks seems to be warming up.

On The Joe Rogan Experience, Mark spilled the tea. He revealed Biden’s administration called up META to scream at staff about COVID and vaccines.

Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg slammed the Biden Administration for censorship, took shots at one of his biggest tech rivals and said he’s “optimistic” about President-elect Donald Trump during a wide-ranging interview with popular podcaster Joe Rogan.

Wearing a brown T-shirt and gold-chain, the suddenly conservative-sounding tech tycoon spent the first hour of the nearly three-hour sit-down discussing the strong-arm tactics Team Biden used to silence those who cast doubt on the COVID vaccine – a topic dear to Rogan’s heart.

Biden officials phoned executives at Meta to “scream” and “curse” at them while demanding that they remove any negative posts about the coronavirus vaccine on Facebook, said Zuckerberg, rehashing the the admission he made in front of Congress over the summer. – New York Post

During his chat with Rogan, Mark Zuckerberg shared an interesting view. He said the U.S. government should defend its companies, not attack them.

Rogan, known for his vaccine stance, pressed him further. He asked if the calls in question were recorded. Zuckerberg said he didn’t think they were.

No Government

But here’s the thing, Mark—no, the government shouldn’t focus on companies. The government needs to stay out of it. Full stop. Mark has built and expanded an empire with his social media platform, and now, it seems like he’s finally growing a spine, especially with Biden out and Trump back in the picture. It’s as if Mark let out a massive sigh of relief, as though he and his META were held hostage by the Biden administration.

And wouldn’t you know it, as soon as Mark starts to loosen his proverbial collar, now Brazil pops up demanding Zuckerberg answer some questions about removing META’s fact-checkers? You can probably feel my eyes roll from where you are.

Brazil on Friday gave social media giant Meta 72 hours to explain what its fact-checking policy will be for the country, and how it plans to protect fundamental rights on its platform.

“Due to the lack of transparency of this company, we will file an extrajudicial notice and the company will have 72 hours to inform the Brazilian government of its actual policy for Brazil,” Attorney General Jorge Messias told journalists. – Barrons

It seems that Brazil is trying to extort money from META in the same way it targeted Elon Musk’s X. The pattern is eerily familiar: governments press major tech companies with threats of fines and regulations while trying to extract financial concessions. These platforms are treated as easy targets for monetary gain, with little concern for the long-term effects of innovation and free speech.

I still don’t fully trust Mark Zuckerberg easing up on the fact-checkers or his move to invite Dana White to join META’s board. But it’s hard to ignore how bizarre it is that he’s now coming out full force with what many are calling “the truth.”

It speaks volumes about what’s been going on behind the scenes. Honestly, it’s almost unbelievable, isn’t it?
