The long-awaited announcement of who Donald Trump would pick as his Vice President is finally here. JD Vance will be Donald Trump’s Vice President.
You may have heard the wailing and gnashing of teeth when the news broke. It wasn’t just the left having a come-apart. Donald Trump has just put the old Republican guard on notice with the JD Vance choice. They have to know that with Donald Trump selecting JD Vance as his guy, a 39-year-old youngin, they know their time is over.
It is time to bring in the youthful new Republican party. I mean, how many times have we talked about this? It is time to get the new, fresh faces of the Grand Old Party up and running. It is time to hand over the baton.
Donald Trump knew this, so it had to be JD Vance. But I would have also been thrilled with Byron Donalds.
Congratulations to @JDVance1 on being the VP nominee. JD is an American Patriot, and he has my full support. I am all in to make Trump-Vance the winning ticket this November! pic.twitter.com/m39r7kdzOE

A Fellow Hillbilly
Because he is so green in politics, the only thing I know about JD Vance is that he is 39 years old, married with three kids, and grew up in the same southern Ohio hills I grew up in. Well, I grew up a little more south than where he was. You could see Kentucky across the river from my grandmother’s house. Middletown, Ohio, where JD grew up, is just north of Cincinnati. Nonetheless, we both grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. It’s a real thing.
He served in the Marines and, I believe, paid for his college education with the GI Bill. He studied political science at Ohio State University and graduated from Yale Law School.
The American dream, indeed.
I’ve watched the movie but may have to read the book, too. And it wouldn’t surprise me if Glenn Close and Amy Adams were run out of Tinseltown now that JD is Donald’s VP pick.
With the RNC happening this week, JD Vance being the one, and the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, the focus is off of Joe Biden for now. And he’s probably relieved for the break. No one is talking about his feeble mind right now.
But What About
As far as JD Vance’s past comments about Donald Trump, I am not bothered at all by them. Why? Because I once had similar thoughts. In 2016, I did not vote for him. I did a write-in. I was not confident in Donald Trump. But boy, did he prove me wrong! I happily and enthusiastically voted for him in 2020, and I’ve been a Trump fan ever since.
Whenever I feel nervous about JD’s lack of political experience, I think of Kamala and immediately regain my confidence in JD Vance. With him as Trump’s VEEP, I am excited about America’s future again!
Thank you, Donald Trump!
