Jesus enters the artificial intelligence world. I’m telling you right now that, that Jesus app is not real. Where is Tiffany Gomas when you need her? Why do people feel the need to create stuff like this?
When ChatGPT was released last year, Peter, a 46-year-old developer who came to the United States from France, wondered how to use AI to upgrade the Text From Jesus app. In February, he started digging into OpenAI, the artificial intelligence research laboratory that launched ChatGPT, and created a proper chat from a simple devotional app. – Washington Post
Yeah, that’s a hard pass for me. I am not doing anything with artificial intelligence. And now you want me to believe that Jesus will interact with me via this new ChatGPT thing? Blasphemy is what it is. Not only is it blasphemy, it’s just outright sad that people may try to utilize this thing and think that Jesus will talk to them through an app.
And I’m sorry (not sorry) but this is creepy as all get out:
Get your physical Bible off the shelf, dust it off, and crack it open!
More from the Washington Post article –
Asked how he defined a good Christian, the app’s Jesus bot replied that such a person will “profess faith in me, but also follow my teachings and embody them in your life,” and quotes a passage in the Gospel of Matthew in which Jesus teaches that the greatest commandments are “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Oh, sure, that sounds innocent enough. It sounds like it will be on the right track and all. Draw in the people with the message.
But did you know that you can also chat with Satan?
“Chat With Satan” can be activated if the user chooses. The character signs all his texts with a “smiling face with horns” emoji.
Good heavens! What is wrong with people?
Stephane Peter, the CEO of this new-fangled chat with Jesus thing, did not work with theologians when creating his project. He told the AI to stick to Biblical traditions as hard as possible. Yeah. Okay.
Critics sound the alarm over the new AI Jesus App that is becoming very popular. Read more below:https://t.co/adsnP4jCUW pic.twitter.com/d3ulOdnxvf

What the CEO did do, was ask some church leaders to try it out to give their feedback. But I don’t know the results or numbers of the case study. Some pastors complained about the tone Jesus used when interacting with them. Apparently, Jesus was a little too uptight to them. Also, the pastors said not enough Bible chapters and verses were used.
And then, we move on to the real issue.
Asked about the criticisms about Jesus’ oddly mild responses on some touchy issues, Peter acknowledged that Text With Jesus’s characters tend to avoid taking offensive stances, instead taking an inclusive and tolerant line.
On same-sex marriage, the app says it is “up to each individual to seek guidance from their own faith tradition and personal convictions” and encourages users to “prioritize love and respect for all people regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity,” signing the text with a rainbow and red heart emoji.
Boom, there it is. You can’t change the teaching of Jesus. Stop it. And sadly, most of the churches in America have also been watered down with this sort of crap.
So no, thank you. I’ll continue with prayer and reading the Word.
