Here are places you can find me. I am seriously thinking about giving up Facebook and Instagram.
So I want to make a blog post with all the OTHER social media sites I will be active on with some explanation of each channels so you can decide which ones are best for you.
Places You Can Find Me
Twitter – @CarolReMarks – I am very active on Twitter. But if you do not want my politics, do not follow.
MeWe – https://mewe.com/i/carolmarks8 – like Facebook – but way better. No ads, they do not sell your information. You can follow Pages and join Groups of your interest. I will use MeWe like I use Facebook; fun and light but yes, some politics too.
Gab – https://gab.com/CarolReMarks – very much like Twitter but you can also join groups there as well. I do not spend a lot of time over there however. Every once in a great while I will check in.
Telegram – a new platform to me but I think it has been around for a minute. As a matter of fact, and after a quick Google search, I found they have been around since 2013. There have been controversies with the app but, from what I understand, they have taken care of their problems and issues.
Telegram is like a private messaging app but with social media aspects too.
I have created TWO channels over there –
One for my political and news stuff at https://t.me/carolremarksblog
One for fun, family, and close friends at https://t.me/carolannmarks
Listen to me on my podcast Carol ReMarks. It is on Apple, Google, Spotify, and more.
My podcast RSS feed/website Carol ReMarks – where you can select what format you want to listen.
Subscribe to my Revue Newsletter to get the real nitty-gritty.
Like I said earlier, I am THINKING about getting rid of Facebook and Instagram. Facebook won’t be that hard but I do like Instagram and Facebook owns Instagram, so….
But if I don’t rip the band-aid off quickly then I will never start growing on my other social media channels. And I don’t want to be one of those people who keeps TALKING about leaving and then never do.
And of course, I will be here – on the blog.
So, that’s it. Thanks.
