Ron DeSantis Fires Campaign Staff

It is reported that Ron DeSantis recently fired some campaign staffers. We are only two months in, and he’s already shaking things up within his camp? Interesting.

Those who were let go were described to NBC News by a source familiar as mid-level staffers across several departments whose departures were related to cutting costs. The exits come after the departures of David Abrams and Tucker Obenshain, veterans of DeSantis’ political orbit, which were first reported by Politico. – NBC News

I am no campaign professional, so I don’t know if this is significant. Some would probably say, “No, this is normal at this stage.” And I am sure others would say, “WOW, this is huge!”

But I honestly have no idea if it’s essential or not. If I had to guess, I would say it is significant.

It seems Ron isn’t doing as well as most folks thought he’d be doing right about now. Some people thought that if Ron entered the race, he would blow by Trump. But it hasn’t happened, not even close. And I’ll admit, I am surprised. I thought DeSantis would be doing way better than what he’s doing now.

His copycat visit to a Dairy Queen did NOTHING for him either.

And I certainly don’t know what war this cat is referring to, saying that waging war against his base was a horrible decision. Do you?

I am not that big into polls, and they are hard to interpret or read, but one thing is for sure, Trump has been in the lead with no one coming near him. As of July 11, 2023, the only movement recently is that Ramaswamy passed Pence and is barely in third place.

Did you see Pence’s horrible interview with Tucker Carlson at the Blaze Media’s first-ever presidential forum they call The Summit? God bless. All that nervous breathing and his pathetic answer regarding J6?

Pence gives other horrible answers in the interview. You can watch the whole interview below.

But back to DeSantis, look, I have nothing against Ron DeSantis. I like him and would have no problem voting for him if he became our candidate. However, I have to say Vivek Ramaswamy is way more appealing to me. I’ve been talking up Vivek at The Victory Girls Blog (which is where I’ve been a lot lately instead of here).

So I don’t know what is going on with DeSantis. He should be doing way better than he is, even if it is early. Maybe firing some campaign staffers might be good, but I doubt it. Good grief.

We are just getting rolling on this Republican primary, which is starting to get interesting. And I don’t know about the rest of you, but I want a knockdown drag-out, hard-fought primary.
