Speaker Of The House

Speaker of the House

Ladies and gentlemen, do we have a new Speaker of the House yet? No. But perhaps we are closer to nominating one: Jim Jordan.

All this wringing of the hands and gnashing of the teeth regarding having no Speaker. OH MY GOSH!!! Yet, here we are, a whole week later, going on two, with no Speaker, and life goes on.

Look, I didn’t particularly care for Kevin McCarthy. He seemed too flashy, if you know what I mean. He seemed to bask in the limelight. He breaks promises, too. I know we “should” be working with the left, but do you want us working with the left knowing what they stand for? No.

If we have the majority, why work with them at all? History has shown us that when they had the majority, they sure didn’t want to work with us and got as many shit things voted through, hence, the crap we are today.

And then, this morning, I woke up to this asininity:

Good grief.

And, of course, we argue, BUT BUT BUT Gaetz worked with the Democrats to get rid of McCarthy. Come on. Matt Gaetz did what he said he would do with the rule to motion to vacate.

People’s hair is on fire over Matt Gaetz, but I say good for him. He claims he doesn’t take dollars from lobbyists, special interest groups, PACS, etc. He says he is purely funded by the district he represents. He seems to be doing their bidding. And people hate him for it.

Lessons Learned

I am sick of all the hate talk from our people, calling the 8 Republicans terrible names and disparaging them for standing up for the American people. And yes, Kevin, it is personal from Gaetz. He represents his district; he’s doing what they want. You might want to remember that, Kevin, and take a lesson from a youngster occasionally. As much as you love yourself, you are actually NOT a know-it-all. You’re smug as hell, though.

And for my life, I don’t know why most of the Republicans I know think that Kevin McCarthy is the golden boy. I swear, the way some of them talk, you’d think Kevin was the second coming for them.

But it looks like this is all coming to an end. Hopefully, at this point, Jordan seems to be the answer. We are never going to get exactly what we want in a Speaker. But Jordan is close. I’ll take it.

I’m withdrawing my Republican voting card and registering as an Independent. I am done with the GOP and its people who claim to be conservative but act like buffoons. This little curfuffle has shown me the true colors of some, and I am adjusting accordingly.
