While Netflix is ending its DVD rental this month, look for new Netflix immersive experience stores to spring up in 2025. They’re calling it Netflix House.
I am not one to brag about Huntsville, Alabama, but I must say, I think one of these immersive brick-and-mortar retail/restaurants would do well here.
Netflix cemented itself at the top of the entertainment world throughout the 2010s, but amid growing competition from other streaming platforms, the company is looking for new ways to draw customers. They appeared to have found at least one new angle to pivot to, as Netflix will reportedly be opening a series of brick-and-mortar retail stores beginning in 2025, according to Bloomberg. – Collider.com
I am also not one to jump on the bandwagon or go out and about to experience and partake in events around town. However, I would try a Netflix immersive experience.
Netflix is opening brick and mortar locations by 2025 in case sitting on the couch wasn’t enough for ya. Here’s what they’ll offer. https://t.co/tbPcyLr8fD

With Netflix originals such as Stranger Things, The Crown, The Umbrella Academy, Ratched, Bridgerton, and Vikings: Valhalla, I can see all sorts of fun and entertaining ideas for restaurant dinner theater or other themed immersive experiences.
Of course, this is nothing like Blockbuster, and it seems some people are confusing this with what Netflix is trying to provide in 2025. They are not doing video rentals at brick-and-mortar stores. Duh.
Watching @netflix say they’re going to open brick and mortar video stores. https://t.co/TtrG4gmvxZ

Dummies. Why do you still have an X account anyway, Blockbuster? I also listened to the Business Wars Podcast: Netflix vs Blockbuster. So…..
Anyway, more about what they are calling Netflix House:
I recently wrote about Bruce Willis and what were some of my favorite movies from him. Having a 5th Element immersive experience or going to a restaurant with a Die Hard theme would be cool, Hans Gruber as the host and John McClane taking my food order.
I’m unsure if Netflix House will be limited to its Originals or if it can include other work from other major film studios. But really, Netflix, I think, has enough of its own Originals that they can make it by that alone. Plus, there’s always new material coming out from them all the time.
Pop Ups
Netflix has already been involved in pop-ups the last few years, with quite the success.
The most notable of these pop-up experiences is based on their smash-hit period romance Bridgerton, and provides guests with drinks and dancing in the vein of the show. This includes “a unique immersive party with drinks, music, dancing, and flourishing romance,” according to the pop–up’s website, complete with period-appropriate clothing. The experience has already been a hit in several cities. Additional pop-up experiences have emerged in global cities such as Mexico City, New York City and Tokyo. – Collider.com
But I believe Huntsville, Alabama, would be a good place for a Netflix House. It would go over great here.
