The New Racket. Allow me to tell you about a new social media audio app called Racket. I don’t know if it’s that new but it’s new to me. And I LOVE it!
Okay so, from what I’ve experienced so far it’s like TikTok but for audio. I hate comparing things to other things or people to other people; like comparing Ketanji Brown Jackson to Jackie Robinson. But that’s another post for another time.
Racket: Tell It Like It Is, audio stories told by anyone in 99 second clips.
If you could speak to the whole world, what would you say? Racket is the easiest way to tell audio stories and connect with people who want to hear them.

They have a few editing features that lets you stop and start your recordings, drag to reorder, delete and recover audio segments. You can also see transcriptions of your audio, although I haven’t discovered this last feature yet.
I think podcasters will use it as a promotional tool. And that’s fine but I will also use it for entertainment purposes. I can use it to promote my blog and podcast too. I want to share my “ReMarks” in short soundbites about current events and the news.
When you scroll upon a Racket you fancy, it allows you to like ❤️ and/or comment (either typed or audio). That’s pretty cool.
While it is mainly an audio experience, the app does have the option to upload a background image for each Racket you record so that’s nice. I do like that feature. Because people still are visual creatures. A good image may grab your attention before the audio file begins.
Thanks for reading.
